I Wish I Had This Secret Weapon…

When I started studying screenwriting at a young age I read all the books and diligently took classes, but when I tried to outline my first screenplay, I was lost.

What goes into a convincing character arc? What happens at the midpoint? What makes a powerful climax? I needed a step-by-step guide to help me flesh out my story, but it didn't exist. So, I created my own.

During the next 10 years, I had the incredible fortune to learn these one-of-a-kind secrets while making movies with the master storytellers from Disney and Pixar, which lead to me perfecting my 1 page template.

I kept testing it against some of the best movies of all time like, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Godfather, Rocky, Star Wars, The Graduate and Ratatouille. These are very different movies so I was amazed that they ALL FIT MY TEMPLATE!

That's when I knew for sure that this was NOT A FORMULA! In fact, it works for any genre or any story.

When I used my 1 page screenplay template for my own writing, I suddenly sold a screenplay and then was hired to write three new projects!

This SECRET WEAPON has allowed me to write original, powerful and high paying stories in a fraction of the time.

It was like all my dreams, that had been pushed to the side for years, were finally unfolding.

All the hours I felt I’d wasted staring at a blank screen seemed so silly. I had finally cracked the code. And you won’t learn this in any screenwriting class! In fact, this is something that nobody has ever put on paper…until now. And the best part is…

All You Need is 1 Single Page

Instead of getting lost in long winding tales and bogged down with the nitty gritty details before you even know the ending of your story, you can create a map for yourself with:

-A complete character arc tracking each defining decision that shapes your hero…and the exact spots in the screenplay or series where they will happen

-An authentic world providing the escalating obstacles that raise the stakes of your film or series, and where they occur in each scene

-All the key characters and their essential roles in guiding or deceiving your hero…and exactly when and where they will appear

"It felt so easy, like I'd gotten a cheat code for writing great screenplays!"

It’s not only a way to see your screenplay on one page, but a fast, easy and fun way to write it, because the template guides the structure and frees up your individual voice as a writer!

And I'll clearly show how to build a story into the template by building six of the greatest films of all time into the template. These examples can also be essential inspiration when building your template.

No more trash bin full of scrapped pages, long late nights of frustrating revisions, and rejection after rejection from potential buyers.

Instead you’ll have confidence, clarity, and a streamlined writing process so by the end of this course, if you put in the work, you’ll have created your own great screenplay or series.

Which you can keep doing again and again after that!

And With This Powerful Tool Anyone Can Write Amazing Screenplays in Half the Time

Whether you...

-Have a story you’ve been dying to tell

-Are a screenwriter or student looking to master your craft

-Are a victim of writer’s block

-Are a film fanatic wanting to immerse yourself in the fantastic world of screenplays

You probably have no idea where to start! It’s so easy to get lost as you start to write.

But this doesn’t come from a lack of education or discipline…

Writing a great screenplay isn’t about getting a degree from a fancy film school, or knowing the industry jargon.

With this proven template, you’re simply building the scaffolding for the magic of your story to naturally unfold and…

When You Want to Share Your Incredible Story, You’ll Have a Better Chance of Bringing it to Life

With 1 Page Screenplay, not only will you create a map for yourself to navigate your story as you write, you’ll also have a priceless resource and true mastery of this craft that will impress studio executives when you decide to sell your screenplay.

You see, while working for over a decade with the legendary storytellers at Disney and Pixar, I watched them analyze each screenplay we were developing, picked up on exactly what elements they were looking for and the brilliant solutions they came up with and added them to my template.

I also now review screenplays or series to potentially produce, …and when one fits into the template, I know for certain that it’s a screenplay worth taking a closer look at.

All of this insider knowledge is included in the formation of 1 Page Screenplay…

If your screenplay fits in this template, it’s a sure way to get it into the hands of the people who can …turn your screenplay into a film or series… and make your dreams a reality!

Testimonials

I’m an art director and production designer for animated feature films with over 35 years of experience. Brad Raymond’s 1 page screenplay tutorials is the most comprehensive easy to use way to arrange and understand the worldbuilding of a story. I have taken many different workshops on screenwriting and storytelling, but Brad’s Breakdown is the best, most gettable template I’ve ever seen. I am a visual person, and I appreciate the Visual approach that Brad teaches, it is very unique.”

“During the CalArts SAR 2023, I had the privilege of attending Brad Raymond’s visiting artist seminar, where he introduced our class to his eye-opening 1 Page Screenplay template. Through studying film alongside other industry professionals, he noticed that many successful films and television programs follow a very specific plot structure, and has used this pattern to develop a complex and versatile approach to screenwriting. In this one lecture, he led our class through the central elements of his 1 Page Screenplay template and provided relevant examples of how he was able to recognize this key pattern in popular film and television programs. I left the seminar with an improved understanding of how to develop my own screenplay from the ground up, and to also recognize the 1 Page Screenplay pattern as it applies to the media I watch (I cannot unsee it!) Brad is able to tap into the wealth of experience he has gained from working in nearly all facets of animated film and television production, including animating, storyboarding, screenwriting, and directing in his analysis. Moreover, he is willing to invest this crucial knowledge and experience in teaching the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers. I found him to be relevant, direct, timely, and approachable. I look forward to taking his 1 Page Screenplay course!”

Brad Raymond has the kind of experience filmmaking that most people can only dream of.What's even more rare is that, as he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, he has been committed to systematically understanding and cataloguing their approaches and insights. A session with Brad is equal parts wonky script breakdown and offhand reminiscences about getting notes from John Lasseter. Perhaps most rare of all, Brad presents all this with enthusiasm and humility. He is discovering something, and he's inviting you to discover it with him. I was lucky enough to work with Brad on an animated show for over a year; I took notes during every conversation we had, soaking up his knowledge; and even still, I would pay to take his class because there is so much more to learn from him.

“When I got a sneak peek of the 1 page screenplay class, what I saw was really eye opening and inspiring! The way Brad Raymond has laid everything out in plain view really makes you realize how a lot of these great movies reach the level of success they do. As I was learning, my mind was automatically placing my own story events into the diagram. It really made everything a lot more clear and I now know what parts are missing and what I need to work on. It felt so easy, like I’d gotten a cheat code for writing great screenplays! It’s given me a lot of confidence to finally tackle the dreaded 2nd act. If this is what it’s like in just one evening of learning, I can definitely imagine having a completed, professional screenplay by the end of a whole course!I really can’t thank Brad enough for what he taught us, and I will be taking the course as soon as possible!”

I’ve known Brad for many years, having worked with him on a half dozen films, including development on Tinker Bell, Lion King 1 ½, plus several other major studio films. Brad has always impressed me with his intense, analytical approach to developing the story of a film. He is a tireless and meticulous worker and researcher, and I am delighted that he has forged all those years of hard-earned studio experience into his own unique “1 Page Screenplay” system! What an ingenious method for breaking down a script! Having seen first-hand Brad’s process of attacking a screenplay in action, I can attest to the fact that his methods actually work! Brad takes the difficult business of crafting a screenplay, and using his paradigm, makes it easy to grasp and apply.I would highly recommend Brad’s “1 Page Screenplay” to any screenwriter, storyteller, or anyone who cares deeply about story.

"I worked on several animated films with Brad, and he has the clearest and most honest sense of story and structure of any director I have had the good fortune to work with. Being able to track the overall structure of your story in one simple place is so useful and helps you root out where your film is getting off track. I am glad he came up with this system."

- Paul Gerard, Animation Executive

“Brad Raymond’s 1 Page Screenplay is truly a special method of where and when you should put conflict and resolution in your story, explained clearly, so that writers of all stages, new to experienced, can follow it. What he will be teaching in this class is paramount to understanding your world, your characters, and your plot points. Brad has a very helpful visual for how your structure can be organized. I was a little intimidated by it, but when Brad started explaining his organization and reasoning behind his construction, it’s incredibly applicable to my own works. When you go to watch your next movie, you’ll see the structure points jump out at you when you see the main character cross the threshold, how the risks get worse and worse until the Main Character has their identity crisis, and then how the ending goes through its twists and turns until the conflict is resolved. Truly made me rethink my own characters, and understand them on a deeper level. All this Information, I got from Brad in 30 minutes. Imagine what value you’ll gain from a full class. When I was listening to Brad talk about his structure, I was completely immersed into his lesson. You will be able to tell he’s passionate about teaching this, because this is all wisdom which he acquired from his success in the Animation industry. He is passing out advantageous material that will give you a better chance of getting you through the door, or just a much more helpful way of learning story structure for your personal projects. Either way, Brad Raymond is definitely someone you want as your teacher because he is attentive, charismatic, and eager about sharing this course.”

-Rosa Thompson

“Brad taught me the one page screenplay as part of the CalArts summer program, he came as a guest speaker and told us about his simple formula for writing a screenplay. As someone who studied for years for a degree in cinematography and screenwriting, I found a lot of sense in the things he said that connected to entire courses in screenwriting, but in a short and simple way that was easy to remember He made me understand more things I already knew and also learned new stuff. When I tried to write a script for a short animated film as part of my studies, I used his formula which helped me finish easily and quickly. Then I used his formula to check and correct old scripts I had written and just wasn't really satisfied with, and it helped me a lot, just like magic. I can't wait for his full course to start so I can learn more from him and finish my old scripts. He's an interesting and talented artist.”

-Adar Eylon

“As someone who didn't know a lot about screenwriting, learning about the 1 Page Screenplay was eye-opening. It breaks down story structure in a very analytical and thoughtful way and puts into words a pattern I had definitely noticed in good storytelling but I wasn't able to figure out myself. Now that I've studied it I understand the magic of film and scriptwriting much better.”

-Daniela Torres

“As someone who has read thousands of screenplays as an executive and written a few dozen more as a screenwriter, Brad's 1 Page screenplay is accessible, practical, and reliable storytelling pedagogy. It's a tried and true process that can be utilized by both first-time screenwriters and seasoned veterans -- those starting from scratch or others trying to diagnose their story and fix it with a re-write. His wealth of experience is a testament to a creative mind that understands the craft at the most detailed level. His process finds the harmony between story and character that is in every great film. Additionally, I had the privilege of developing a project with Brad -- it was a challenging children's book adaptation. Needless to say, I got to witness the efficacy of Brad's 1 Page process first hand as he used this approach to pitch and craft a hilarious, compelling, and structurally sound original series that was lauded and adored by studios across Hollywood. Quite simply -- Brad's approach works -- use it to launch your next great screenplay!”
